Start with the submitted order, not a remembered thumbnail
Keep three records together: what you requested, which warehouse item you are reviewing, and what the photos actually show. A source listing may have several variants under one title. The main seller image alone is not enough to establish which option was submitted.
Save the order number, source URL or item ID, selected option and any purchase note. Then match the warehouse record to that order. If several similar items arrived together, identify them individually before reporting a mismatch. The product-order guide explains which option details should already be recorded.
Separate a visible mismatch from an unanswered question
A clearly different model or a readable option label can support a specific observation. An obscured label is missing evidence. A color difference across two screens may need a clearer image rather than an immediate conclusion about the item.
For size, distinguish a label from a measurement. A label can be compared with the submitted letter or number; a measurement needs the same units and endpoints as the chart. A photograph cannot establish personal fit. Use the seller size-chart guide for that comparison.
- Wrong model or included parts: identify the exact visible feature and its expected counterpart.
- Possible color mismatch: identify the ordered color and the image area that needs clarification.
- Size-label mismatch: keep a readable label photo beside the submitted option.
- Measurement mismatch: save the chart definition and the photo showing both tape endpoints.
Ask for the one view that would resolve the uncertainty
Specify the order and the missing detail. A close-up of a size label, a complete front-and-back view or a measurement with visible endpoints answers a different question. Avoid requesting another general photo when the uncertainty is limited to one detail.
CSSBuy describes warehouse inspection and photos in its public buying workflow. That description does not promise a particular extra photograph, a free service or a result for an individual order. Ask about availability and any charge in the live account. The QC photo guide explains the limits of photographic review.
Prepare a factual order enquiry
CSSBuy’s service page directs purchase and return or refund enquiries to the relevant order through My Order and Add Note. Identify the order, the submitted option, the visible difference and the question you need answered. The official service page is linked in the references below.
For example, an illustrative message could say: “For this order I selected option M. The attached warehouse label appears to show L. Please confirm which option arrived and what current options are available before parcel submission.” This is a suggested message structure, not a real case or evidence that a refund will be approved.
- Expected: the saved option and the source record at the time of ordering.
- Observed: the specific label, part or measurement visible in the warehouse image.
- Unresolved: any missing angle, unreadable label or unclear measurement definition.
- Requested next step: clarification, a targeted view, or information about current remedies.
Keep the return decision separate from the photo review
Evidence of a difference and eligibility for a remedy are separate questions. Ask which process, deadline and possible charges apply to the actual item; do not treat a storage deadline or a generic article as a seller return window. See the return and refund overview for the different case types.
Keep the dated response with the order. Resolve whether to retain the item or pursue an available remedy before selecting it for an international parcel. Once the accepted items are clear, continue with parcel submission.
Common questions
CSSBuy QC Shows the Wrong Item, Color or Size FAQ
Does a different-looking QC photo prove the seller sent the wrong item?
Not by itself. Match the order and option, identify the specific visible difference and request any missing evidence before drawing that conclusion.
Can a size label prove that the item will fit?
No. It can be compared with the submitted option, but personal fit also depends on measurements, cut and how those measurements were taken.
Should I use parcel support for a warehouse item mismatch?
CSSBuy’s public service page directs purchase and return or refund enquiries to the relevant product order. Parcel enquiries cover international parcel details and tracking.
Does this checklist guarantee a return or refund?
No. It organizes the evidence and question. Current eligibility, deadlines, charges and available remedies must be confirmed for the individual case.
